At Motion Christian School, we provide a Christ-centered education that nurtures a love of learning while helping each child discover their God-given identity and purpose. Through biblical integration across all learning experiences, prayer-centered community, and intentional character formation, we partner with families to disciple young hearts. Our desire is to raise children who know Jesus personally, grow in wisdom and confidence, and begin walking boldly in the calling God has for their lives.

Our teachers and administrators are highly committed to professional excellence and Christian education standards. All instructional staff either currently hold Washington State teaching certification and/or are certified or actively pursuing certification through ACTS (Association of Christian Teachers and Schools).
Our standards ensures that every educator on our campus is equipped both academically and spiritually to lead students with skill, integrity, and a strong biblical foundation.

At Motion Christian Preschool, we believe in educating the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. STAR assessments help us thoughtfully understand each child’s learning strengths and growth areas so we can teach with intention, wisdom, and care.
STAR testing gives our teachers clear, age-appropriate insight into where each child is developmentally, allowing us to tailor instruction, celebrate progress, and provide extra support when needed. This aligns with our commitment to excellence in education, intentional discipleship, and family partnership, as we steward each child’s God-given abilities with purpose.
Rather than defining a child by a score, we use STAR as a tool to serve the child—helping us meet students where they are, encourage growth with grace, and support each family with meaningful, understandable progress updates. In this way, academic assessment works hand-in-hand with our biblical integration, prayer-centered culture, and Christlike character formation—so every child is known, nurtured, and guided with love.

Why We Use Two Christ-Centered Curricula (K–8)
To provide a well-rounded, excellent education, Motion Christian uses two trusted, Christ-centered curricula: Abeka and BJU Press.
Together, these programs allow us to blend strong academic structure with engaging, age-appropriate learning—while consistently integrating a biblical worldview across all subjects. This dual-curriculum approach gives our teachers flexibility to meet different learning styles, reinforce foundational skills, and pursue academic excellence without compromising our commitment to Scripture, prayer, and Christlike character formation.
We choose resources that partner with families in discipleship, support intentional instruction, and help students grow in both knowledge and faith.
