Required Professional Qualities/Functions
It is expected that the teacher will…
Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited postsecondary institution.
Hold ACSI certification or be willing to complete the requirements for certification within first year of teaching.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred but is not required for every teaching position.
Motion Christian School evaluates teacher qualifications based on the requirements of the specific position and a combination of the applicant’s education, relevant content-area knowledge, teaching experience, professional experience, demonstrated competency, and Christian-school teacher certification.
Applicants who do not hold a bachelor’s degree may be considered when they demonstrate sufficient education, experience, subject-area competency, and other qualifications appropriate to the teaching assignment.
Teachers are expected to obtain and/or maintain appropriate Christian-school teacher certification through the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS) in accordance with MCS certification requirements.
